  • Chapter 10: Family Letter PDF

In this chapter, your student counts by ones to 30, 50, and 100. Using the far right-hand column of a hundred chart, your student counts by tens from a decade number (10, 20, 30 . . .) and identifies any missing decade numbers. Throughout the chapter, your student applies number patterns found in the hundred chart. For example, numbers increase by one across a row from one number to the next from left to right, and numbers increase by ten down a column. By reading down a column, your student learns to count by tens from any number, for example, 4, 14, 24, 34, and so on.
