    In this chapter, your student will use the numbers 11 through 19 to describe amounts. Your student will begin by identifying the number of objects in a group by counting. Then your student will learn to count a different way by first identifying a group of ten and then the number of extra objects. Next, your student will record the number in an addition sentence as 10 + a number. For example, 14 = 10 + 4.
